If you have not seen part 1 of this article, here is the link – https://incknowledge.wordpress.com/2016/08/20/fascinating-pictures-by-anvi-saini/
Going through the same trend, this article features science related pictures which took some photographers as long as 9 years to develop them.
1. The creation of life itself.
Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson spent 12 years taking pictures of the foetus developing in the womb.
1.1 – Fusion of an ovum with a sperm.
2. Inside of a Large Hadron Collider
The Compact Muon Solenoid at CERN contains massive instruments for measuring the path and the energy of particles produced after high-energy protons collide with each other.
3. A protein molecule that walks.
Below is tiny image showing how the transport molecules catwalk.
These molecules are present in most of your body cells.
These molecules transport proteins that Catwalk on Micro-tubules to transport vesicles [packages] from one part of the cell to the other.
4. Disco map of human
This disco-map of the human body catalogues the chemicals and microbes found on the largest of all organs: the skin. Swabs from 400 sites on two healthy people were taken after the willing volunteers did not bathe for three days in the name of science.
5. Lightning strikes three buildings at the same time in Chicago.
6. Earth’s movement in universe –
Earth actually moves around the Sun, which is moving, along with our solar system, around the Milky Way, which is moving at vast speed across the universe.
Normally what we study without taking into consideration that sun is also moving around milky way galaxy –
Hence, Earth’s movement is more like the first image rather than the second image. Amazing!
These are our favourite pics regarding science pics and otherwise rare and unseen and unknown.
Next installment will be coming soon.
